7 states (Kentucky, Missouri, Minnesota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Vermont) are considering lowering the drinking age to 18.

Please keep a good thought for Police Chief Raymond Hawks of Capac.  Chief Hawks and his wife, Vicki, need your prayers after Chief Hawks was shot twice while on duty.  Chief Hawks grew up in Capac, and became the Police Chief after retiring from Pontiac.  They are loving people, and they need your prayers!  Chief Hawks gave my husband Chris, his first job on the road.  While Chris worked at the Macomb County Sheriff’s department as a Corrections Officer, he patroled in the City of Capac, under Chief Hawks.  Please leave your prayers, thoughts and comments here and I will make sure to share them with Chief Hawks & Mrs. Hawks.

Update on his condition as of May 9rd: Chief Hawks has emerged from a 17 day coma.  The Chief opened his eyes, and recognized his family.  He’s alert and well aware of his surroundings.  Chief Hawks is still considered to be in very serious condition.  He still cannot talk, and remains on a ventilator.
                   

You may know that I married a police officer, Chris, in September 2004.  He is a Macomb County Sheriff’s Deputy, and as much as he loves the job, it scares me.  I worry about him all the time.  If you are a wife, husband, mother, father, sister, brother or friend of a police officer, firefighter or soldier…this is a spot for us!  Feel free to share your stories, scary/happy moments and your thoughts.

David Archuleta…it is time for you to go home!  I realize that he probably has the biggest fan base, and he has a beautiful voice…but is he the best?  I think not!  Plus, he’s always singing a slow, boring song.  Change it up David.  David, you’re adorable, BUT you’re putting me to sleep!

Fay’s Fave Show
I love watching The Hills on MTV.  I am Team Lauren all the way!  I just can’t stand Heidi and her crazy boyfriend, Spencer!  I think they’re playing it up for the cameras!

Previous Shows,
-What is wrong with me?!  Why can’t I stop watching Meet the Kardashians?!  It’s another reality show, where all three Kardashian girls bicker and fight the whole time…BUT, I’m watching!  I don’t miss an episode.
-Hell’s Kitchen is back!!  There is something sexy about Chef Gordon Ramsey, and I love watching cooking shows (even though I don’t cook.) 
-MTV’s America’s Best Dancer Crew, produced by Randy Jackson was a good show.
-Jon & Kate plus 8.  It’s on TLC, and it’s about this couple who has 7 year old twins, and 3 year old sextuplets!  8 children…2 pregnancies, wow! 
-The Moment of Truth on Fox should be called if you’d like to break up your marriage go on this show.  But, I’m just addicted! 

Lynn Harper and I will be walking for the second time in the Breast Cancer 3Day.  I am very excited this year, and would love to have you be a part of our team…or create your own!  

If you think you can’t do it, you’re wrong.  That was my fear, and I can’t tell you the incredible feeling you get when you walk beside survivors, or amongst women who are walking for someone who has passed away…or women like you and I who know someone that has struggled and want to find a cure!  The one thing that I just loved and will always remember is the constant Thank You’s I received for walking.

Most likely…you’ll have blisters!
BUT, at the end, you will be so proud of yourself, and I promise you it will be a memory you’ll never forget!

If you’ve listened to the Magic Morning Show in the last few years, you’ve heard that I’m not a big book reader.  I’ve started quite a few books, but haven’t actually fallen in love with a book to the point where I can’t put it down.  I went to the bookstore looking for a good mystery/thriller, and actually ended up getting a romance novel.  The book is Suzanne’s Diary to Nicholas by James Patterson.  I thought it was a sweet book

What are some of your favorite books?!   

I was at the mall over the weekend, and for the first time, I saw a child….ON A LEASH!!  What is going on?  This is not your dog, it’s your child!  It was an active, energetic two year old.  This is just too much!  What happened to holding your childs hand or putting them in a stroller?

We’ve all heard the disgusting and horrendous stories about Michael Vick, who has plead guilty to a federal conspiracy charge that helped run an interstate dogfighting operation.

Being a dog lover, I would love to see him spend at least 5 - 10 years in jail, and be kicked out of the NFL permanently!

THIS IS THE LETTER SENT TO ME…WHAT DO YOU THINK?!

Because I couldn’t find anywhere else to leave this comment, I’m leaving it hear. Anyway, I support Mike Vick. I know the laws, and just to let you know, WE LIVE IN AMERICA. You actually had the nerve to say over the air that anybody associated with dog fighting should be put in jail. Before you make comments like that, you need to look at the big picture. Is it ok to kill people, but it isn’t ok to kill dogs. They are just dogs. the max life on the darn things are only 20 years anyway. Outside of the street races, dog fighting was/is one of the koolest things I do/did in the summer. I don’t think it is cruel, these animals are trained and taken care of. you want to know what’s cruel? Dear Hunting! People actually go in a dear’s home to shoot and kill them (as if the dear has actually done something wrote to society.) At least dogs kill each other in dog fights. If i look at it like you it is ok to go shoot a dear in the head, throw him in the trunk, chop his head off, and mount it on your wall like a trophy. however, one holding a dear fight in his backyard would be practicing animal cruelty. HELLO! in the wild, animals kill each other anyway. it is called survival of the fittest. You know what else is cruel? locking a bull up for 5 days, then hopping on his back. after that, let the bull go and see how long we can ride him, that is not cruel! Yeah, that is cruelty too. The bottom line is. I don’t know if mike vick is guilty or not (neither do you.) Secondly, if you say he needs to go to jail than every dear hunter and bull rider needs to be right behind him. how about this. do you think horses want to have a gun shot in their ear so loud that they take off running scared (being tricked into racing)? People think somebody killed a dog, and you are all spending money to have the dog killer crucified as if he is the second coming of hitler. I think you should be suspended without pay and make a public apology.

I will not make a public apology, and I stick by what I said…I’d love to see Michael Vick put in jail, and kicked out of the NFL…and by the way he plead GUILTY! I also suggest you do your research on deer hunting, bull riding, and horseback riding. I am truly disgusted by anyone who thinks that dog fighting is a fun sport.
