It was very difficult to announce that I was leaving the show to spend more time with my
teenage boys, my husband and my parents who live full-time in Florida. I will miss the people I work
with and my daily connection with you the listener. I can’t thank you enough for all of your support and kind words over my decision. I plan to continue to do commercials
for both TV and radio and I hope to do many events with the radio station including
Toys for Tots this year. I will have my website up lindalanci.com by Tuesday or
Wednesday so please feel free to e-mail me and we can stay in touch over the summer!
Your friend always,
Linda Lanci

I made a really fun birthday card for Daniel’s 13th birthday. All you need is a poster board, glue, markers and candy bars!
Happy Birthday Daniel,
We were going to give you (100 Grand) for your birthday, but the money slipped
through our (Butterfingers). We didn’t have a (Whatchamacallit) to sell and it wasn’t
(Payday). We didn’t think a pet (Kitkat) or a trip to (Mars) or seeing the (Milky Way)
would be appropriate. We do wish you (Mounds) of (Almond Joy) as you (Skor) up
another birthday. Enjoy and eat up this card with our best wishes. We hope it doesn’t
make you (Rolo)ver and get sick. If it does, we promise not to (Snickers)>

My girlfriend has been dating a guy for 6 years and everytime they get close to making a
commitment he starts a fight. As long as she never brings up marriage he’s fine. Also,
when she’s had enough and wants to start seeing other people, he’s on his best behavior
and will say he wants to marry her some day. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks!

I brought this up on the air and got such a huge response, that I thought I would put it on
my blog. I have always told my kids not to listen to music when they do their homework.
Last week I saw a survey that supported music with homework and when I asked to hear
from listeners or teachers on this subject, everyone said that for some kids, music can help
tune out white noise and actually help kids concentrate. Based on these responses, I am
going to let them listen while doing homework and see if it helps. How do you handle
this situation? I love hearing from you!
Thanks so much,
Linda

I decided to put this topic on my blog because when I talked about it on the radio I got so
many e-mails from listeners. Daniel is twelve and wants a cell phone. His brother didn’t
get one until the 9th grade but I’m finding that times have changed. So many kids are
getting a cell phone at a younger age. Most of his friends have one. He can’t pay for it
because he only gets a small allowance. Help!!! I need some advice from moms who have
been there!
