we talked about our faults……now let’s turn it around!

Now I want to hear what is good about you?    If we asked your friends, I’ll bet they could tell us right away…but when we ask ourselves that question is seems hard…at least it does to me.   I had trouble stopping when it came to my faults…..but good stuff, wow…….I have a good a good sense of humour.  Oh, and I make good pie crust.

Let’s see if you can do any better…..tell me something good about you?   Something that you like about yourself?

I will do anything I can for family and friends if they need help or a shoulder to lean on.
I’m also pretty organized, almost to a fault!

I would have to say that a good sense of humor. I am able to take something that isn’t so pleasant and turn it around….

I give everyone a smile and a hello at work, whether I know them or not.. I still manage to say Hello to them.

I enjoy people.. I enjoy seeing and making people smile. I would have to say that I make every attempt to make the people in my life have a good moment…

I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt; am a good listener; always willing to lend a hand or a dime or whatever is needed. But by the same token, I am very, very hard on myself - no breaks for me!

What I like about me: I am a pretty straight forward person. I am not very shy, I usually come out and say what is on my mind. If you want the honest truth, I’ll give it to you, but if I know it’s going to hurt I will try to lighten it. I’m not heartless! I try to encourage people to do things that they want to do but are afraid of trying. What I don’t like about me is that I don’t follow the news or read the papers very often, so I’m not always up on “what’s going on”, so sometimes I feel left out because I can’t follow a conversation. And….. I really want to lose all the weight I gained after having both my kids! HAHA.

Opps!!! Want to add a very good listener with confidentiality, anytime of the morning noon and nightime. I hear ya Pam, can give the shirt off my back (oh what a vision) but to stubborn and hard on myself to swallow my pride to ask for help when in need. Again Mitzi Good Subject, what an eye opener!!!!

My top quality is that I place everyone before myself. I will go “without” so someone can go with.

The Holidays bring the best out of me. I love giving. I put together food baskets and dessert baskets and find out needy families throughout my church and community and surprise them with a basket full of “love”. If there are small children in the family, I like to fill a child’s pillow case with new pajamas, a stuffed animal, coloring books and crayons. I tie it shut with a hand made winter scarf and mittens. This is my biggest feature that I’m proud of and it brings out the most happiness in my heart!

Last Christmas my friend/colleague just moved into her home and was not use to baking with propane as we live in the country. She called me Christmas Eve and was upset as she burned all her desserts. Without saying a word, I showed up before her Christmas Eve dinner with a homemade sweet potato pie, apple pie, platter of home made cookies and candies and a casserole of peach/raisin rice pudding. Baking is one of my best traits!!! And Sharing it the other.

I think my best qualities are those that I learned or inherited from my parents: to appreciate life, love, family and friends; to listen to people and really get to know them; to give, selflessly, from the heart; to have a good work ethic, and to be able to laugh.
