I’m not a big Abba fan, I’m also not crazy for musicals.  But, I was curious after seeing the trailer for the movie Mama Mia.  Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnin…and then they threw in yummy Colin Firth for good measure….and I had to see it.    I know this will sound funny ..but really I laughed and I cried!  A Lot!  It’s so campy and cute, and good and serious, all rolled into one.   Ladies I know you will love it….but guys you should take your wife/girlfirend because Pierce Brosnin is much less intimidating in this role than he ever was as Bond!   He may be all that, but he really can’t dance!  …..and this may have ended my crush on Colin Firth too.   I can’t believe that I said that!   Plus, you’ll want to go to Greece.  I’m still laughing at some of the scenes from the movie…and I have to go on line to figure out what Abba song it was they played about kids growing up.  That’s where the crying started!  (Found the song, Slipping Through My Fingers) see it below! …..Abba fan or not, this is a must see movie!  It opens Friday and after you see it, I’d love to hear from you about your thoughts.
