I’m not a big Abba fan, I’m also not crazy for musicals. But, I was curious after seeing the trailer for the movie Mama Mia. Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnin…and then they threw in yummy Colin Firth for good measure….and I had to see it. I know this will sound funny ..but really I laughed and I cried! A Lot! It’s so campy and cute, and good and serious, all rolled into one. Ladies I know you will love it….but guys you should take your wife/girlfirend because Pierce Brosnin is much less intimidating in this role than he ever was as Bond! He may be all that, but he really can’t dance! …..and this may have ended my crush on Colin Firth too. I can’t believe that I said that! Plus, you’ll want to go to Greece. I’m still laughing at some of the scenes from the movie…and I have to go on line to figure out what Abba song it was they played about kids growing up. That’s where the crying started! (Found the song, Slipping Through My Fingers) see it below! …..Abba fan or not, this is a must see movie! It opens Friday and after you see it, I’d love to hear from you about your thoughts.

Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while
The feeling that Im losing her forever
And without really entering her world
Im glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see whats in her mind
Each time I think Im close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Sleep in our eyes, her and me at the breakfast table
Barely awake, I let precious time go by
Then when shes gone theres that odd melancholy feeling
And a sense of guilt I cant deny
What happened to the wonderful adventures
The places I had planned for us to go
(slipping through my fingers all the time)
Well, some of that we did but most we didnt
And why I just dont know

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see whats in her mind
Each time I think Im close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
Slipping through my fingers…

Slipping through my fingers all the time

Schoolbag in hand she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile…

Thanks again Pam for sending me something to smile about! I love the shoe one! So true! Mitzi
THE LAWS OF ULTIMATE REALITY

Law of Mechanical Repair
After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you’ll have to pee.

Law of Gravity
Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.

Law of Probability
The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

Law of Random Numbers
If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal and someone always answers.

Law of the Alibi
If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning you will have a flat tire.

Variation Law
If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).

Law of the Bath
When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.

Law of Close Encounters
The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don’t want to be seen with.

Law of the Result
When you try to prove to someone that a machine won’t work, it will.

Law of Biomechanics
The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.

Law of the Theater
At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle arrive last.

The Starbucks Law
As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.

Murphy’s Law of Lockers
If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers

Law of Physical Surfaces
The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet/rug.

Law of Logical Argument
Anything is possible if you don’t know what you are talking about.

Brown’s Law of Physical Appearance
If the shoe fits, it’s ugly.

Oliver’s Law of Public Speaking
A closed mouth gathers no feet.

Wilson’s Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy
As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

Doctors’ Law
If you don’t feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor, by the time you get there you’ll feel better. Don’t make an appointment and you’ll stay sick.

Honestly, I like all of these ….and more….so they might call me Ummmm, crazy! Today, right now…I’m in the mood for carrot cake. How about you? Mitzi

If all of the eight desserts listed below were sitting in front of you, which would you choose (sorry, you can only pick one)! Trust me…this is very accurate. Pick your dessert, and then look to see what psychiatrists think about you.

REMEMBER - No Cheating. Make your choice before you check the meaning. After taking this dessert personality test, send this e-mail on to others, but when you do, be sure to put your choice of dessert in the subject box above.

ALSO, SEND IT TO THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU. DON’T FORGET TO CHANGE YOUR DESSERT CHOICE IN THE SUBJECT BOX BEFORE YOU FORWARD IT.

Here are your choices:
1. Angel Food Cake
2. Brownies
3. Lemon Meringue Pie
4. Vanilla Cake With Chocolate Icing
5. Strawberry Short Cake
6. Chocolate Cake With Chocolate Icing
7. Ice Cream
8. Carrot Cake

No, you can’t change your mind once you scroll down, so think carefully
about what your choice will be.

OK - Now that you’ve made your choice, this is what the researchers say
about you… SCROLL DOWN—No Cheating

1. ANGEL FOOD CAKE — Sweet, loving, cuddly. You love all warm and fuzzy
items. A little nutty at times. Sometimes you need an ice cream cone at the
end of the day. Others perceive you as being childlike and immature at times.

2. BROWNIES — You are adventurous, love new ideas, and are a champion of
underdogs and a slayer of dragons. When tempers flare up you whip out your
saber. You are always the oddball with a unique sense of humor and
direction. You tend to be very loyal.

3. LEMON MERINGUE — Smooth, sexy, & articulate with your hands, you are an
excellent care giver and a good teacher. But don’t try to walk and chew
gum at the same time. A bit of a diva at times, you set your own style
because you do your own thing. You shine when it comes to helping others and
have many friends.

4. VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING — Following, sassy, humorous, not very
grounded in life; very indecisive and lacking motivation. Everyone enjoys
being around you, but you are a practical joker. Others should be cautious
in making you mad. However, you are a friend for life.

5. STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE — Romantic, warm, loving. You care about other
people, can be counted on in a pinch and expect the same in ret urn.
Intuitively keen. You can be very emotional at times but a true person in
every way. You like to do things for yourself and help others learn about
themselves.

6. CHOCOLATE CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE ICING — Sexy; always ready to give and
receive. Very creative, adventurous, ambitious, and passionate. You can
appear to have a cold exterior but are warm on the inside. Not afraid to
take chances. Will not settle for anything average in life. Love to laugh.

7. ICE CREAM — You like sports, whether it be baseball, football,
basketball, or soccer. If you could, you would like to participate, but you
enjoy watching sports. You don’t like t o give up the remote control. You
tend to be self-centered and high maintenance.

8. CARROT CAKE — You are a very fun loving person, who likes to laugh. You
are fun to be with. People like to hang out with you. You are a very warm
hearted person and a little quirky at times. You have many loyal friends ..
You were meant to lead and teach others. A wonderful role model.
